Location: Bronx, NY.
Pay: $19.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00PM until completion

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Inventory Clerk uses inventory management software to track the flow of goods, compile inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment, all in accordance to business expectations. When a new shipment comes in, they check the receipt, inspect the inventory, and perform an initial count to confirm that they have the correct goods before signing off on the delivery. This position requires experience using a stand-on ride-on pallet jack.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Count merchandise in stock and posts totals to inventory records
• Compare inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory
• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
• Generate reports such as inventory balance or shortages
• Prepare lists of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items
• Ensure compliance with all inventory policies and procedures and manage inventory for the distribution center
• Management replenishment process from overstock Prepare and reconcile all daily cycle count processes and prepare reports within agreed timeframes.
• Perform slotting maintenance to ensure efficient order fulfillment
• Handle all matters relating to inventory control, checking quality of designated product, taking daily inventory on product.
• Break-down full cases of produce into smaller ones Keeps inventory up on a daily basis.
• Sort through pallets of bad products
• Determine quality of products returned by customers.
• Local point of contact for Quality Department Check, pull, segregate and document recalled, or quarantined products
• Perform random audit on various warehouse processes as defined by DC Manager
• Coordinate with other departments and provide inventory support at all times In addition, other duties maybe required as directed by your team lead, supervisor, and/or manager.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must have experience operating a stand-on ride-on pallet jack
• Prior warehousing experience in a food environment preferred
• Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is highly desired
• Basic understanding of food safety practices
• Comfortable using computers and inventory scanners
