Job Summary:SCA is seeking a dependable and hardworking Driver Helper to assist with roadside maintenance and litter removal services. This role supports sweeper truck operations by ensuring roadsides remain clean and debris-free. Work will primarily take place at night along interstate routes. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a strong attention to detail, and is comfortable performing physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position is vital to keeping our service areas clean and safe for the public.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the driver with assigned route dutiesPerform roadside litter and trash removal in front of the sweeper truckComplete all assigned jobs within the scheduled time frameMaintain high standards for cleanliness and quality of workUse extra caution during nighttime and inclement weather conditionsFollow all safety procedures and company policiesPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or driver
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalentExperience working outdoors preferredAbility to follow directions and read mapsMust pass and maintain a drug-free status (pre-employment and random drug screenings)Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionallyModerate physical activity including reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and graspingAbility to stand for long periods and perform frequent walking, bending, and stair climbing
