Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable and experienced Supervisor to lead our team. In this role, you will make sure all tasks are done well, on time, and meet our quality standards. You should be organized, able to manage people, and comfortable working in a busy environment.

Pay: $23.00 per hour. 

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions (Other duties may be assigned)

· Drive day-to-day operational performance and service delivery for ABM Aviation at the assigned airport location.

· Provide guidance, interpret policies and procedures, and assist front-line employees in performing functional tasks.

· Ensure shift schedules (days off, vacations, etc.) are complete at least one week in advance.

· Ensure all call-outs are covered.

· Accommodate increases/decreases in client staffing requests.

· Administer attendance and punctuality expectations in accordance with ABM Aviation policy and site requirements.

· Represent ABM Aviation by participating in client briefings and communicating routinely with client representatives regarding operational performance and service needs.

· Manage daily schedules, including employee lunches and breaks.

· Maintain a daily shift report for managers.

· Maintain communication with Shift Leads to monitor and sustain optimal staffing levels.

· Coach, counsel, and discipline employees in accordance with company policy.

· Conduct safety and quality audits.

· Coordinate the movement of personnel within terminals and garages.

· Ensure the safety, security, and quality of the operation.

· Set a positive, professional example for the workforce.

· Ensure front-line employee compliance with ABM Aviation, airport, airline, and regulatory safety, security, and quality standards (including TSA requirements, as applicable).

· Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

· Comply with all ABM Aviation, client, airport, and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks.
  • Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills.

Computer Skills:

Basic understanding of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

General Company Requirements:

  • Comply with ABM grooming standards and wear the required Airport ID/SIDA badge at all times while on duty.
  • Qualify to drive on the Airport Operations Area (AOA), as required, and meet ABM Aviation SOP requirements to obtain and maintain airfield driving privileges.

Employee must comply with and enforce all guidelines and policies set forth in the ABM Employee Handbook and all ABM Aviation site requirements. These policies include, but are not limited to, ABM’s Zero Tolerance Discrimination and Harassment Policy, Retaliation Policy, Ethics Policy, and Security Policy. Employee must also comply with regulatory agency requirements, including, but not limited to, the ADA, ACAA, DOT, TSA, FAA, and applicable Federal, State, and Local authorities.

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience:

Previous management experience preferred.

Overall:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen.

Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history.
