Our busy emergency hospital sees an average of 500 patients each month and is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities; including an in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and therapeutic laser technology. This allows our team to deliver high-quality, timely care for a wide variety of cases!
No two shifts are ever the same. Our medical team manages everything from minor injuries and routine emergencies to complex critical cases, such as septic ruptures, orthopedic trauma, cardiac arrest, and more. The diverse caseload offers continual opportunities to challenge and expand your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their families.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

We're looking for:
A veterinary technician with a minimum of 2+ year experience required.
A registered veterinary technician is preferred, however, it is not required.
ER experience is highly preferred, however it is not required for more experienced applicants.
Due to the nature of Emergency Medicine, this position requires the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts.
Experience and familiarity with anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring.
Excellent client communication and medical record management skills.
Knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations.
Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.
Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture.
Compassionate and calm team-player.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong communication skills.
Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards.
Pay Range: $18 - $24/hr. depending on experience level and licensure
