Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric

Salary Range: $27.51 - $29.33 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, no weekend rotation. Full-time.

Overview:

In this role, you will work alongside our team of physical therapists to help improve the mobility, strength, and overall well-being of our elderly patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with the geriatric population and making a positive impact in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the physical therapist in evaluating and developing treatment plans for geriatric patients

- Implement treatment plans and provide hands-on therapy to patients

- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility and function

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during therapy sessions

- Keep up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in physical therapy and apply them to patient care

- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program

- Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant

- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients

- Strong understanding of geriatric conditions and treatment techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records
