Position: Speech Language Pathologist

A facility that provides high-quality care for both short-stay and long-term patients.

Position Overview:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. You will work with a variety of patients, including those recovering from injuries, illnesses, or disabilities, as well as those with developmental delays or communication disorders. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with no weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patients' goals

- Implement treatment plans using evidence-based techniques and strategies

- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients

- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

- Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university

- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility

- Experience working with a diverse patient population and a variety of communication and swallowing disorders

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Passion for helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities
