Position: Speech Language Pathologist (Geriatric)
Salary Range: $36.90 - $40.55 per hour
Schedule: 32 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)
Experience Level: No new graduates
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals
- Provide therapy and interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care for each patient
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies for improving communication and swallowing function
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in speech therapy techniques and technologies
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Active state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with seniors in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders and their treatment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
