Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Salary Range: $40-$42.50 per hour, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine communication and swallowing abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and attend continuing education courses to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license to practice as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a SNF setting
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and regulations related to SLP services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekends, or Tuesday through Saturday, or Sunday through Thursday
