ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Our client is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee software development processes, ensure adherence to established standards, and provide Mission Assurance oversight. This role supports software quality, requirements management, testing, audits, and development processes for complex engineering programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Monitor software development activities to ensure compliance with defined quality standards and processes
· Provide Mission Assurance oversight and verification of software development processes
· Develop and maintain Software Quality Assurance (SQA) processes
· Conduct audits of code, builds, documentation, and development activities
· Work with developers to tailor processes to project requirements
· Support software requirements development and management
· Track and coordinate requirements changes using designated tracking tools
· Develop frameworks to support software test planning, execution, and tracking
· Customize, maintain, and upgrade software tracking tools
· Support software quality and process improvement activities
· Apply knowledge of relational database design, deployment, and administration
· Document findings, test results, process compliance, and recommendations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
· Experience in software quality assurance, software development, or Mission Assurance
· Knowledge of software development life cycles, quality standards, and process audits
· Experience with requirements management and change tracking tools
· Experience developing or supporting software test frameworks
· Knowledge of relational database design, deployment, and administration
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate has strong software quality assurance experience within a structured engineering environment and can effectively bridge development, requirements management, testing, and Mission Assurance activities. Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical software programs is highly desirable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
