Job Title: Orthopaedics Physician Assistant

Service Setting: Orthopaedic outpatient clinic and surgical services
Schedule: Flexible 4.5-day workweek
On-Call Expectations: 1:3 call schedule with shared first call responsibilities
Start Date: Negotiable
PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
Patient Demographics: Adults and geriatrics with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
Average Daily Volume / Census: Varies by clinic and surgical caseload
Admissions & Rounding: Included as needed for surgical patients
Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes
Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: General orthopaedics, surgical assist, fracture care, joint replacement, sports medicine
FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
EMR System: Epic
Specialty Backup: Full hospital services, orthopaedic surgeons, anesthesia support
Support Staff: Collaborative team including orthopaedic surgeons, APPs, nurses, and OR staff
Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to supervising orthopedic surgeon and practice leadership
Reason for Opening: Practice growth and expansion of orthopaedic services
CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE
Board Requirements: NCCPA certification required
DEA & Certifications: Active DEA, BLS/ACLS required
Credentialing Timeline: 6090 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary: $125K Annually
Incentive Bonus Structure: $25K Sign-on Bonus, $250 per 24h On Call Compensation, up to $30,400 Additional Call incentives
