Expected pay for this position is $23.58 - $27.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY: The PACE/Senior World Activity Coordinator coordinates the therapeutic recreational adult day services program. The coordinator provides a comprehensive participant assessment to meet physical, mental and psychosocial well-being needs as well as person centered needs and interests. They plan, implement and facilitate activities for various cognitive functioning, physical limitations and persons with disabilities.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Experience:

  • 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or, if the individual has less than 1 year of experience but meets all other requirements, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring.
  • CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required before providing patient care.

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Music, Art, related Social Service field or Certified Occupational Therapists Assistant (COTA)

 

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience organizing and facilitating activities in a geriatric setting.
  • Experience in a Dementia or Alzheimer's Program.
