Production Operator / Chemical Manufacturing Associate
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Duration: 4-Month Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Operator to support packaging and manufacturing operations in a chemical production environment. This role involves operating equipment, packaging materials, safely handling chemicals, completing production documentation, and maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Operate packaging and production equipment following established procedures.
- Package materials into designated containers accurately and safely.
- Handle, store, and transport chemical materials using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Monitor and operate production processes using both manual controls and computerized systems.
- Complete production records, inventory logs, inspection reports, and environmental documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Respond appropriately to equipment issues and emergency situations.
- Work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet production demands.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical or industrial environment.
- At least 1 year of forklift experience.
- Ability to read and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and operating manuals.
- Basic math, reading, and technical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Regularly lift up to 25 lbs., frequently lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to work around machinery, chemicals, noise, heat, humidity, and outdoor conditions as needed.

- Chemical manufacturing experience.
- Experience operating production equipment and computerized control systems.
