Job Description

The Packager plays a key role in ensuring that metal parts are accurately inspected, packaged, and labeled prior to shipment. This position supports daily quality control activities, maintains accurate records of inspections and nonconformances, and assistsquality control operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and a commitment to quality and safety in the production of custom metal components.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute the daily quality control inspection plan to ensure all required parts and processes are reviewed on schedule.

  • Package and label metal parts accurately and securely prior to shipping, following established procedures and customer requirements.

  • Inspect incoming metal parts in accordance with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and other relevant specifications.

  • Initiate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and maintain accurate, organized records of these reports.

Essential Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience performing relevant job duties in the PCB or photo-chemical etching industry preferred.

  • Experience with quality inspection, packaging, labeling, and general production activities.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Strong attention to detail with a quality- and safety-oriented mindset.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
