Job Title: Packaging Associate
Location: Saint Joseph, MO 64507 United States - 100% onsite

Shift: 06:00 AM - 04:30 PM - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Description:
Oversee the smooth operation of the production line, including case packaging, component handling, pallet jack operation, labeling, and packaging.
Manual case erecting, packing, and stacking on a pallet.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the incumbent will be present on the product line/lines at all times, assuring correct components, coding, and labels are maintained.
Maintain smooth line operation through continuous improvements, cleaning, and settings.
Check that components and codes comply with the recipe of current production.
Control product quality by communicating item damage or off-spec conditions to QC.
Recommend maintenance or changes as necessary to assure continuous production.
Maintain a safe working area by keeping clutter from accumulating and performing continuous cleaning.
Wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) as directed by the Safety Manager.
Maintain warehouse equipment to assure safe and efficient operation.
Be dependable and report on time to your position every day, giving as much notice as possible for absences.
Be available for production on a daily basis as necessary.
Qualification:
Physically able to work on your feet and lift a maximum of 50 lbs. for extended periods of time.
Ability to read and understand production documents, SDS, and safety information is required.
Production and mechanical experience is helpful.
Workers must provide steel-toe/composite safety boots or shoes.
Gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection are provided by the client.
Physical Demands:
Lifting Ability to lift 40 60 lbs., 20 30 times per hour.
Standing Stand for 8 9 hours per day.
Bending Frequent bending.
Climbing Minimal climbing.
Working conditions:
Temperature Working temperature between 70 90 F.
Air Quality Minimal dust.
Lighting Good lighting.
Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:
Steel-toe work boots or shoes are REQUIRED.
Safety glasses are required at all times.
Gloves are required when formulating active materials.
Gloves are required as needed for material handling.
Ear protection is required as needed when operating equipment.
