Packaging Engineer

Kforce has a client in Burton, MI that is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design and release packaging material specifications. A typical Packaging Engineer is responsible for improving packaging design and material specifications through research and testing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform projects to reduce packaging material, processing, distribution, and damage costs
• Resolve complex product and packaging issues
• Develop and apply graphic design elements and product
• Identification standards for packaging materials
• Coordinate packaging requirements with plants, other departments, sources, and customers
• Stay current on new technology and new developments
• Apply high quality network/synchronous organization and lean strategies to achieve process improvement and promote teamwork
