    Level Of Experience Mid-LevelEmployment Type Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders Only)Position Packaging EngineerLocation Covington, GADuration 12 MonthsTotal Hours/week 40.00Shift 1st ShiftClient Medical Device CompanyJob Category EngineeringJob Description Must have FDA regulatory experience; Packaging engineer field of study or experience in packaging engineering - 2-3 years of experience.DutiesValidation and testing of commercial package design and modifications to existing package design.Recommend appropriate packaging equipment, tooling, and/or materials to meet regulatory requirements for package testing.Convert customer/regulatory needs into existing package design.Develop prototypes of concepts and subcomponent mechanisms.Design/re‑design and develop tooling and fixturing required to support existing or package design/re‑design.Utilize design concepts and analysis techniques such as Failure Mode Analysis, Finite Element Analysis & modeling, Geometric Dimensioning, Statistical Analysis, Tolerancing Analysis, Stress/Strain Analysis.Work with vendors and customers to identify appropriate materials and components to meet packaging requirements.Analyze existing design to ensure specifications (Product Performance Specifications) meet customers' and/or regulatory requirements.Detail re‑designs to ensure manufacturability; provide proper dimensioning and tolerances stack‑up analysis; recommend modifications as required.Establish and maintain appropriate documentation of activities in accordance with existing policies and procedures (Divisions, Corporate, and Regulatory compliance).Actively participate on MDR project team meetings and/or Design Reviews.Basic QualificationsProven ability to design/re‑design existing commercial packaging.Proficient in personal computer use with intermediate keyboarding skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Project, and various statistical software packages.Education And QualificationsBS in Packaging Engineering or related field of study.Minimum 2 years' experience or relevant experience.Regulated industry experience a plus.Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Access skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
