Job Description

We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead engineered packaging projects supporting vehicle and energy product platforms. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative packaging solutions that optimize product protection, manufacturability, and logistics efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong engineering fundamentals, expertise in packaging design, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires a continuous improvement mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions while supporting sustainability initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging, Industrial Design, or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of CAD and technical drawings
  • Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials including aluminum, steel, composites, and foam
  • Experience designing to ASTM, Mil-Spec, or similar standards
  • Strong understanding of packaging testing and validation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
