JD:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience relating to Packaging/manufacturing engineering of industrial products and their components
  • Develop and standardize packaging specifications and engineering standards for raw materials, WIP, service parts, finished goods, and export shipments.
  • Engineer and optimize packaging systems including returnable containers, pallets, dunnage, corrugated packaging, Gaylords, totes, bins, and foam systems.
  • Recommend packaging materials, container types, pallet configurations, and shipping methods based on product, transportation, and storage requirements.
  • Lead design, prototype, testing, validation, and implementation of packaging and material handling solutions.
  • Develop carts, trolleys, flow racks, transport fixtures, and ergonomic line-side delivery systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support packaging standards for product protection, warehouse optimization, inventory accuracy, dock-to-line material flow, and export compliance.
  • Work with packaging operations and suppliers to troubleshoot packaging issues, maintain packaging quality, and improve packing line efficiencies.
  • Minimize packaging material scrap, product damage, and operational Client through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in packaging validation, risk assessments, cost optimization, and process improvement activities.
  • Ensure packaging systems comply with GMP work practices, ISO standards, transportation, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, supply chain, suppliers, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Support new product development and packaging development projects through engineering and implementation activities.
  • Develop sustainable and returnable packaging solutions to improve operational and transportation efficiency.
  • Utilize NX and AutoCAD CAD tools and engineering documentation to support packaging design and implementation activities.
