Job OverviewThis role on the R&D Packaging Team will focus on the KDP USRB (US Refreshment Beverage) Business portfolio and is responsible for developing and implementing packaging components; including primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.As a Packaging Engineer , you will be responsible for the concept development, testing, and commercialization of new or existing packaging solutions at KDP. Additional responsibilities will include developing packaging specifications and test methods, as required. You will be expected to lead and collaborate on projects in accordance to the agreed upon performance criteria, schedules, and cost targets. As an associate engineer, you will act as a Packaging Lead on projects and partner with external resources (suppliers, OEMs, 3rd parties) to meet project requirements.Position ResponsibilitiesWork in a cross-functional environment to solicit and capture new packaging requirements.Develop and refine specifications for KDP's packaging portfolio (PET Containers, cans, glass, closures, thermoformed containers, paperboard, corrugate, and flexibles).Validate, and lead execution of new materials for manufacturing scale-up.Develop, test and document test procedures and success criteria.Conduct lab/pilot/scale-up tests as well as factory acceptance testsPerform targeted statistical experiments (DOE, Regression, Comparison Testing).Determine quality requirements and support adherence to specifications.Support execution of Capital projects.Manage multiple external resources such as contractors and vendors.Collaborate with other engineering functions including Engineering, Operations and Quality.Work closely with procurement and legal on contracts, IP and supplier agreements.Work closely with internal plants, supply chain and raw materials suppliers.Research and lead consumer facing productivity initiatives.Total RewardsSalary Range: $70,500 - $110,000Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factorsBenefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage ReimbursementAnnual bonus based on performance and eligibilityIt is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
