Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry, has an immediate opening for a R&D Packaging Engineer(Medical Products) for a 6-month + Contract. Position Description
- Developing and designing packaging equipment and materials for the safe, convenient, and attractive transport of goods under various conditions.
- Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required types of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility, and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety, and special-handling requirements.
- Evaluating packaging and transportation methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assessing and recommending efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and the utilization of sealing and fastening devices.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field with at least 2 years of industry experience; or
- Associate's degree in packaging or related field with 4+ years of packaging industry experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in regulated industry packaging design and development.
- Proficiency in designing and verifying packaging solutions per ISO 11607 standards.
- Experience with packaging testing, failure analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Strong understanding of packaging verification and validation processes.
- Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to optimize packaging utility and safety.
