The Engineering Maintenance Mechanic is a hands-on technical role focused on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing production machinery at customer sites. This position combines mechanical expertise with customer collaboration, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance while supporting upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves extensive travel with most weekends at home.
Travel to customer locations to provide technical support, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment
Diagnose mechanical and low-voltage electrical issues, performing efficient breakdown repairs and system adjustments
Install replacement parts, perform machine modifications, and support test runs to improve performance
Collaborate directly with customers to recommend fixes, upgrades, and best practices
Document service work, maintain tools and parts inventory, and ensure organized shop environments
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair capability
Working knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and diagnostic tools (multimeter, ammeter)
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong customer communication
Vocational, technical, or community college coursework in mechanical or related fields (or equivalent hands-on experience)
Direct experience with Multivac, Ulma, Reiser, and or Scandivac equipment
Solid problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and travel extensively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Based near Evansville, IN
Approximately 70% travel to customer sites, includeslocal travel
