Job Description

General Production Operators are critical to our success at FritoLay! As a General Operator you could be working in one of two main areas on a day to day basis.

The first area is in our Palletizing area as an Auto Palletizer Operator. Our Auto Palletizer Operators are responsible for a variety of duties that relate to monitoring equipment that palletizes our Frito-Lay products. In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing:

  • Operate the 6 robotic arms that stack our finished boxes of chips into a pallet
  • Change program product codes when we change what products we are running, and validate case counts
  • Consistently apply Lock out Tag out (LOTO) safety protocol and other specialized safety protocols
  • Set up palletizing boards in proper areas
  • Ensure accurate flow of finished goods on the conveyor system
  • Utilize computer terminals to input or request information based on production schedule

You could also find yourself working in our Carton Mezzanine as a Box Drop Operator. As a Box Drop Operator, here are some of the tasks you will be doing:

  • Operate 9 of the Box Drop Machines, supplying cardboard boxes to equipment on a lower floor
  • Troubleshoot the machines when faults appear or the equipment gets jammed
  • Pay attention to our daily schedules to run the right products on the right equipment
  • Work as a team with other operators to ensure daily tasks are completed, and housekeeping is well maintained

Although you will start out as an General Production Operator for FritoLay, we are investing in helping you grow with us. This job can open the door to career opportunities with us or our parent company, PepsiCo.

We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule, and our jobs are physical! If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shift. Here are the minimum qualifications of this job:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You can stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You can lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You can repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation

Our application takes 20-25 minutes to finish on any device. Our mission is to get you in for an interview instead of jumping through hoops. Just keep an eye on your e-mail, and we will take care of the rest.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.

PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Female / Minority / Disability / Protected Veteran / Sexual Orientation / Gender Identity

Our Company will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other applicable laws, including but not limited to, San Francisco Police Code Sections 4901 - 4919, commonly referred to as the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance; and Chapter XVII, Article 9 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, commonly referred to as the Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
