Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Associate to join our salsa production team. This role is responsible for packaging jars of salsa efficiently and safely while maintaining food quality and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment and follows instructions carefully.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor packaging equipment for filling and sealing jars of salsa.
Inspect jars for cleanliness, proper labeling, and seal integrity.
Pack finished jars into boxes for shipping or storage.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the packaging area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Report any product quality or equipment issues to supervisors.
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing proper PPE.
Keep accurate counts and complete necessary production paperwork.
Assist with setup, cleaning, and changeovers of packaging lines as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift up to 30-50 lbs as needed.
Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and cleanliness.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
