Overview

Allweather Wood, LLC. (AWW) is looking for Packaging Laborers to join our full-line manufacturing and distribution facility in Washougal, WA. This is for Day Shift, 5:00am - 1:30pm M-F, (Occasional Saturdays and Overtime)! Allweather Wood is the largest producer and distributor of waterborne preservative treated wood products in the Western USA. Operating six wood preserving plants in California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, these state-of-the-art facilities enable year-round production of a variety of preservative systems, fire retardants and wood species, including Douglas-fir, Hem fir, and Southern Yellow Pine. With support from two full-service distribution centers in California, Allweather Wood partners with home improvement retailers, lumberyards, and building material dealers to bring a full range of preservative and fire-retardant lumber and plywood products to market.

Responsibilities

The Packaging Laborer will assist in various duties throughout the warehouse.

  • Lumber piece pulls
  • Banding
  • Lumber track use
  • Forklift

  • Relief machine operator
  • Lumber Wrapline
  • Lumber treater helper
  • Inventory/cycle counts
  • Work in various departments as needed.
  • Willingness to work weekends and off shift dependent on market conditions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Minimum six month related experience preferred
  • Ability to train to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and understand instructions and memos. Ability to write simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10''s and 100''s
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
