Packaging Lead and Outside Service Coordinator

 

All America Threaded Products (AATP) is seeking a proactive and highly organized Packaging & Outside Service Coordinator to support production flow, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life, and 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match. This is a hands-on coordination role responsible for ensuring material moves efficiently from production through packaging and outside service to final shipment.

This role will work onsite at our facility in Lancaster, PA, Monday-Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm.

This position has 6 direct reports and will have supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for prioritizing and coordinating material flow across production, packaging, outside service, and shipping. Owns material visibility and resolves flow issues in real time to meet ship dates. Reporting to the Production Manager, this position provides daily work direction to packaging operators while partnering with production leadership on training and performance. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Packaging Coordination & Team Leadership
    • Provide daily work direction to packaging operators (~6).
    • Prioritize work to meet ship dates and earned hour expectations.
    • Maintain organized packaging/staging areas.
    • Support structured on-the-job training and standard work.
    • Reinforce safe work practices.
  • Material Flow and Prioritization
    • Act as internal control point for material flow across departments.
    • Prioritize incoming work based on demand and ship date.
    • Coordinate movement to prevent delays.
    • Escalating bottlenecks affecting performance.
  • Outside Service Coordination
    • Stage outbound material and coordinate handoffs.
    • Receive and prioritize returning material.
    • Track material through 7-21 day outside service cycle.
    • Ownership is tracking/coordination, not loading/unloading.
  • Continuous improvement & Leadership
    • Identify process gaps in flow and outside service tracking.
    • Lead improvements to reduce delays and standardize work.
    • Partner with engineering on root-cause fixes.
    • Drive resolution of flow issues in real time.
    • Promote accountability and teamwork.

 

 

Required Skills & Experience:

This position requires 4 or more years of relevant experience or education, preferably in a warehouse environment utilizing LTL service providers.  Required qualifications are:

  • Ability to speak, read, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated success in a warehouse packaging environment.
  • Knowledge of general warehouse safety procedures.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 family of products, specifically Excel and Outlook.
  • Willingness to work in-person in a warehouse setting.
  • Effective and personable communication skills both over the phone and in email.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Outside processing experience.
  • Packaging, production, or shipping background.
  • High mix manufacturing experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
