ASAHI BEER USA|OCTOPI BREWING
PACKAGING LINE MANAGER
Where Leadership Meets the Packaging Floor
Full-Time
ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING
Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. Our Packaging team keeps every can, bottle, and case moving efficiently and safely around the clock — and the Packaging Line Manager owns that operation, reporting directly to the Director of Packaging.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a Packaging Line Manager to lead a 24-hour packaging operation — owning safety, quality, efficiency, and team development across all shifts, and working cross-functionally with Brewing, Lab, Maintenance, and Warehouse to keep everything running smoothly.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT
• Real ownership over a 24-hour operation — not just one shift, the whole picture
• High cross-functional visibility, working directly with Brewing, Lab, Maintenance, Warehouse, and QA
• Room to drive real change — root cause analysis, process optimization, and training systems you help build
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Lead and develop a 24-hour packaging team, coaching, training, and holding the team accountable to safety, quality, and efficiency goals
• Plan and oversee daily packaging operations, keeping production aligned with schedules and specs
• Diagnose equipment issues and coordinate maintenance to keep lines running reliably
• Own root cause analysis and data-driven process improvement across packaging lines
• Build and maintain training systems, SOPs, and competency tracking across all roles and shifts
• Ensure GMP, GDP, OSHA, and safety compliance through regular inspections and audits
• Partner with QA on product specs and quality, and represent Packaging in cross-departmental planning
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-haves:
• Comprehensive understanding of machine operation, troubleshooting, and safety in a manufacturing environment
• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role within manufacturing operations
• Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs as needed
Nice-to-haves:
• Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred), or equivalent experience
• Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing sector
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and Lean Manufacturing principles
BENEFITS & PERKS
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage — effective the 1st of the month after 30 days
• Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance
• 401(k) with company match — 100% up to 3%, 50% on the next 2%
• 120 hours of PTO annually, with accrual that grows the longer you're here
• 9 paid holidays (if they fall on your scheduled workday)
• A free beer after shift, because you earned it
PAY
• Pay: $80,000–$90,000 annually
Full-time, exempt
