Packaging Machine Operator (AHP) – 2nd Shift

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour  (There is a $2.00 shift differential, base rate $18.00/hour)

Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Training Schedule

 One Week Paid Training
 Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
 Training will primarily take place in a classroom setting.

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Machine Operators to support production and packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for packaging activities including equipment sanitation, preparation of packaging materials, product handling, quality oversight, and preparing finished goods for shipment.

 

This is a compliance-critical role within a regulated manufacturing environment requiring strict adherence to quality standards, cGMP compliance, safety procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Candidates must be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods, handling repetitive production tasks, and working closely with team members to meet daily production goals.

 

Possible Work Areas

Decommission Product

  • Scan barcodes to decommission products
  • Remove caps from containers
  • Empty product contents for processing

 

Pack Out

  • Fill cartons with product
  • Ensure labels remain sterile and accurate
  • Verify sterilization data
  • Run cartons through tape machines
  • Stack completed cartons on pallets

 

Filler

  • Monitor production machinery during operation
  • Remove empty items from the line
  • Observe machine flow and identify jams
  • Stop machines when issues occur and follow escalation procedures

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Stage approved repackaging materials and equipment for production runs
  • Assist in operating packaging equipment and perform minor troubleshooting
  • Follow escalation procedures when mechanical issues require maintenance support
  • Repackage raw materials into finished products within packaging specifications
  • Assist with equipment cleaning, sanitation, and production room housekeeping
  • Support Packaging Machine Operators during production activities
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation for production runs
  • Follow all cGMP standards, safety regulations, and SOPs
  • Identify and report production or quality issues to leadership and quality teams
  • Work closely with operations and support teams to meet quality and production goals
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas throughout each shift
  • Participate in all required operational, compliance, and safety training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per shift
  • Manual dexterity and strong hand coordination
  • Ability to lift, handle, and push items averaging 25 lbs., up to 35 lbs.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Basic math skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and use sound judgment

 

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in assembly, packaging, or production line environments
  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or regulated production environments
  • Familiarity with quality control and compliance-driven operations
  • Mechanical awareness and ability to identify production issues
