Our client is hiring Production Packaging Associates to join its Columbus manufacturing team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering consistent Monday through Friday hours, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the opportunity to develop valuable production, packaging, and machine operation skills.

Depending on production needs, associates may be assigned to one of three areas:
Scan product barcodes for decommissioning.
Remove caps and prepare product for disposal or additional processing.
Perform entry-level production and material-handling activities.
Follow established procedures for product handling and documentation.
Fill cartons with finished product.
Ensure labels and packaging materials meet required standards.
Confirm sterilization information and required production data.
Operate or feed cartons through taping equipment.
Stack completed cartons onto pallets for shipment.
Inspect packaging for accuracy and quality.
Monitor production and filling equipment during operation.
Observe equipment and identify potential production issues.
Remove empty or improperly positioned items as needed.
Stop equipment when jams or other issues occur and follow escalation procedures.
Assist machine operators with production activities and minor troubleshooting.
Stage preapproved packaging materials and equipment for production runs.
Assist with operating packaging equipment, including minor troubleshooting.
Follow escalation procedures when troubleshooting efforts do not resolve equipment issues.
Repackage raw materials into finished products according to established packaging specifications and quality standards.
Work alongside Packaging Machine Operators when maintenance support is required.
Assist with production room and equipment cleaning and sanitation.
Participate fully in packaging, compliance, safety, and operations training.
Follow all cGMP requirements, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs.
Accurately complete required compliance and production documentation.
Maintain clean and organized production areas throughout the shift.
Work collaboratively with production, operations, and quality teams to achieve production and quality goals.
Report production or quality issues that could prevent the team from meeting operational goals.
Identify potential production and quality concerns and escalate them appropriately.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English for the purpose of understanding instructions, product descriptions, labels, production documents, and compliance requirements.
Ability to stand for approximately 8 to 12 hours.
Ability to lift, handle, push, and move items averaging approximately 25 pounds and up to 35 pounds.
Good manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive hands-on production tasks.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to accurately complete production and compliance documentation.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and exercise good judgment.
Ability to identify production and quality issues within a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
Dependable attendance and the ability to maintain appropriate attendance standards.
Previous assembly, packaging, manufacturing, warehouse, machine operation, or production line experience is preferred.
Experience working in a quality-focused or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
This is a compliance-critical position responsible for supporting packaging activities, equipment sanitation, preparation of packaging and product materials, and packing finished products for shipment.
Team members are expected to follow all safety, quality, corporate, and regulatory requirements at all times. Any condition believed to be hazardous or unsafe must be immediately reported to a supervisor.
$20.00/hour, including the 2nd shift differential
