We are looking for a reliable Packaging Machine Operator to set up and operate packaging equipment, prepare materials, and package finished products. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow written procedures, and a strong focus on safety and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate packaging machines according to established procedures.
Load and feed bottles and packaging components into equipment.
Fill, secure, label, and package products according to specifications.
Operate and adjust bottle cappers, labelers, sealers, pill counters, and related equipment.
Monitor machines during production runs and make necessary adjustments.
Verify bottle sizes, labels, seals, and packaging quality.
Package finished products and load boxes onto pallets.
Separate defective labels, seals, and products for rework.
Assist with rework and transfer products into new containers when needed.
Prepare components and materials for upcoming production runs.
Assist Quality Control with inspections and product release.
Complete required production and batch documentation.
Enter production information into computer systems.
Clean and sanitize packaging equipment and production areas between runs.
Maintain clean and organized packaging, gowning, and warehouse areas.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, push carts, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
Move products and materials throughout the facility.
Follow cGMP, FDA, DEA, safety, and company procedures.
Perform other packaging-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Entry-level to intermediate experience.
Packaging, machine operation, production, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and SOPs.
Basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Must follow company drug-free workplace policies.
Work Details
Full-time position in Camarillo, CA.
1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
2nd Shift: 2:15 PM–10:45 PM.
Hands-on production and packaging environment.
Requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, and pulling.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
Must be able to package approximately 25–40 bottles per minute.
May require working longer than a typical 8-hour shift.
Additional Info
This is a hands-on production position for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating machinery in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided on company-specific equipment and procedures.
