Job Title: Packaging Operator (Temp Position)
Job Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Job Duration: 06 Months on W2
Job Shift: M-F 2pm - 10:30pm (second shift)
Roles & Responsibilities:- Follow procedures to safely package chemical products into totes, drums, and pails
- Repack and relabel chemical products
- Utilize automated control systems along with manual operations to operate process and packaging equipment
- Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues
- Perform light maintenance or prepare equipment for others to safely perform maintenance
- Complete batch-related documentation and declare production in SAP
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks, rounds, and maintain an organized work environment
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
- Ability to respond to emergency situations within the limits of training and qualifications
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Commitment to safe and environmentally responsible operation of all aspects of a chemical process
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a chemical production environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable working with flammable and other hazardous chemicals
- Must be able to complete basic math calculations
- Must be able to operate hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and scrapers
- Experience with forklift operation
- Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position including climbing stairs, ladders, lifting 55 pounds, connecting hoses, operating manual valves, and wearing FRC uniforms and a full-face respirator (clean-shaven)
