Openwork is currently seeking dependable and hardworking Packaging Operators to join a fast-paced warehouse and production environment in La Porte, TX! This position is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working rotating shifts and performing hands-on packaging and general labor duties.
As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling packaging materials, labeling, palletizing, stacking, and repacking materials. You may also operate packaging and transfer equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble boxes, lids, and other packaging materials
Staple, label, stack, and palletize finished products
Perform packaging and repacking duties as assigned
Operate packaging and transfer equipment following established procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform general labor and warehouse support duties as needed
Follow all packaging, quality, and safety procedures
Wear required PPE and comply with OSHA and company safety guidelines
Work independently while maintaining speed and accuracy
Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor warehouse environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and quality
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
