Job Description

SUMMARY Performs repetitive production and packing operations to mass-procedure products such as preforms by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs repetitive production and packing operations • Performs the following duties: • Completes daily report of parts produced and any scrap parts which resulted, including downtime • Notifies Production Supervisor and Process Technician whenever items produced do not meet quality requirements, or if machinery need repair • Uses calculator to arrive at accurate calculations of different production-related data • Wears all required personal protective equipment • Maintains housekeeping of all work areas and equipment • Starts-up molds according to set-up sheet • Completes daily log of activities on an accurate and timely basis • Makes process and parameter changes to ensure the highest quality possible • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments • Starts devices to test their performance

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers • Ability to print and speak simple sentences • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs • Capable to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

SAFETY

Must attend all required Safety/OSHA training classes. Must adhere to all Safety Rules as posted in employee handbook and in the plant. All employees must adhere to the Amcor "No Injuries Program".

QUALITY

Must be GMP/HACCP/Food Security Trained.
