This individual will work under the direction of the Production Manager and Department Team Leader(s). The operator will perform tasks critical to packaging our products as well as perform quality inspections and verify that product is in conformance with the specified requirements. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Obtain Knowledge of production SKU'sEffectively demonstrate proper use of manual/hand pallet jack equipment (not motorized)Palletize finished cases/palletsPerform cleaning and sanitation tasks as directed by Team Leader (MSS Tasks)Notify Team Leader/ Manager of product, quality issuesAble to prepare and load product into packaging equipment and/or casesAble to assist with film and bag preparation/loadingAble to hand apply labels to products and casesComplete other duties as assignedCandidate Qualifications:A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent GED is preferred.Must be able to understand work instruction in English.Must be able to do basic (elementary level) arithmetic functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Physical Demands: Must have the ability to make coordinated movement of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble large and small objects. Must be able to use a knife as needed to cut and prepare meat as instructed.
