Position Summary:This position is responsible for working closely with the Area Production Manager and Plant Manager for the timely completion of production schedules. The Team leader directs daily work for employees, keeps proper records and documents processes. The Team Leader is also responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the work areas and ensures that all personnel are properly trained.Shift- 3:30pm till Midnight. Monday-Friday Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Able to perform all duties of a Packaging Operator from Level 1 – 6Communicates the schedule to the team, delivers schedule attainment, and allocates resources accordinglyAble to Complete 30/60/90-day evaluations with the area manager, while responsible for developing the skills of their teamAble to effectively manage the day-to-day functions and line problems as they occur. Able to effectively manage the day-to-day personnel issues as they arise. Able to effectively manage an area in absence of an area manager. Able to track and document material consumptions and product declarations, able to document downtime & report line issues properlyConducts or oversees all pre-op tasks, ensures quality production startup, conduct, or oversees all QA checks and responsible for their accuracyAble to complete Manufacturing Order Entry for department in Microsoft Great Plains Candidate Qualifications:Strong process and product knowledge is required.Excellent problem-solving capabilities.Demonstrated leadership, understanding, and enforcement of GMP, SOPs, Sanitation SOPs, SQF, HACCP, and USDA requirements.Good organizational and task management capabilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required).Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Dynamic GP and Microsoft Office products.A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent directly related work experience is required; an Associate degree is preferred. Physical Demands: Must have the ability to make coordinated movement of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble large and small objects. Must be able to use a knife as needed to cut and prepare meat as instructed. Must be able to stand for entire shifts with periodic, bending, reaching, stooping, and lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.Must be able to safely walk and work around machinery and knives.Must be able to wear a hairnet, latex gloves, hearing protection, as well as any other PPE.Must be able to work in an environment with temperatures that consistently are as low as 45 degrees.Must be able to work in an environment that has spices and/or mold.
