Packaging Specialist/Machine Operator

A growing, family-owned food manufacturer is seeking a Packaging Specialist / Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate packaging equipment while ensuring products meet production schedules, labeling requirements, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and make routine adjustments to packaging equipment.
• Follow production schedules and stage labels, packaging materials, and supplies.
• Train and assist employees with packing procedures and machine operation.
• Create pallet tags and verify accurate product labeling.
• Transport finished pallets to coolers/freezers.
• Complete Pick Tickets, Label Verification Forms, and production records.
• Follow food safety, quality, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Food manufacturing, production, or packaging experience preferred.
• Machine operation experience highly valued.
• Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling.
• Ability to operate or become certified on a pallet jack.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and dependability.
