Packaging Manufacturing Technician

Pay Rate: $18.00 $20.00/hour
Schedule: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
Location: Athens, GA
Duration: 6-Month Contract

Job Summary

Seeking a Packaging Manufacturing Technician to support the labeling, inspection, and packaging of vaccine products. This role operates packaging equipment, performs quality inspections, troubleshoots basic equipment issues, and completes required documentation in a regulated cGMP manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment including labelers, pick-and-place systems, heat tunnels, vision systems, and related equipment.
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards and production requirements are met.
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
• Complete batch records and other required cGMP documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and safety procedures.
• Support QA line clearances and monitor processes against manufacturing records.
• Communicate production progress, equipment issues, and material needs to leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
• Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2 3 years of manufacturing experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic equipment/process troubleshooting skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Forklift certification preferred.
