Packaging Technician - Cannabis Manufacturing

SummaryBud's Goods and Services is seeking a Packaging Technician to join our award-winning team. The primary role of this individual is to package our brand of flower for sale into the retail and wholesale market in accordance with determined quotas. Duties will include but are not limited to: weighing, counting, labeling, packaging, and tracking cannabis product in raw material and finished goods form. The Packaging Technician will be under the responsibility of the Plant Manager and will be directed by the Director of Production Core Competencies: Attention to detail Production mindedExcellent organizational and documentation skillsAbility to work independently as well as with a teamDependable and hardworking attitudePunctual with reliable attendanceGood personal hygiene Excellent hand-eye coordination Job Duties:Work on production lines to prepare, label, fill, weigh, seal, and box products, particularly the weighing and packaging of flower into 1/8th containers Perform all product-handling activities such as counting, packaging, sealing, labeling, placing products in boxes, and organizingApply labels to product according to proceduresAudit labels to ensure proper format and all information is present and in compliance with state regulationsPackage finished product in compliance with state regulations and company policiesWork with a scale to accurately weigh product and track numbersUpdate inventory logs daily and ensure inventory counts are accurateMaintain compliance with state regulations and company policies and SOPsCase packing products according to our packaging proceduresEnsure finished product meets our stringent quality standardsMeet determined quotas and timelines Maintain a clean and organized work environmentAssist management in other duties as assigned Working Conditions/Physical Demands:Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Able to lift up to 50 poundsAble to work a fully flexible schedule including nights and weekendsExtensive use of hands, including repetitive movements Experience and Education:1+ years' experience in packaging or inventory-related roleHigh school diploma/GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)Basic understanding of mechanical packaging equipmentBasic math skillsWorking knowledge of basic computer functions including e-mail and Excel Additional Requirements:Must pass all required background checksMust have a reliable vehicleMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industryMust possess valid driver's license Must be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry #ENGHP
