SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE Packaging Technicians are responsible for assisting with the operation of packaging equipment, ensuring products are filled, labeled, and sealed according to company procedures and cGMP standards. This is an entry-level position focused on learning packaging operations, maintaining accuracy in documentation, and supporting line efficiency through proper setup, cleaning, and material handling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates basic packaging equipment.
Assists in equipment setup, cleaning, and changeover under supervision.
Performs visual inspections for correct labeling, lot number, and expiration date.
Monitors packaging line speed, efficiency, and component usage.
Uses barcode scanners for MTS, PTS, and CTS systems to ensure product traceability.
Completes batch record entries, cleaning logs, and in-process forms accurately.
Conducts simple in-process checks such as fill weights and seal integrity.
Loads and unloads components, packaging materials, and finished goods.
Maintains cleanliness of packaging rooms and equipment per SOPs.
Reports any issues related to equipment, materials, or documentation to the supervisor.
Follows safety, quality, and GMP guidelines at all times.
Complies with all company SOPs, cGMP regulations (21 CFR Part 211), and safety requirements.
Assists in line changeovers and preparation for production runs.
Participates in on-the-job training to develop proficiency with packaging operations.
Performs other related duties as assigned to support production and departmental goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ ABILITIES
Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in manufacturing or packaging.
Knowledge of cGMP, SOPs, and basic documentation requirements.
Familiarity with automated packaging lines or equipment operation.

Shift Schedule:
First Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
?Flexibility for occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
