The Packaging Technician I performs routine packaging operations for the production of pharmaceutical products; operates packaging line equipment according to established SOPs and department procedures. Shift: day 5:45am to4;30 MON-WED. 5:45 TO 3:30PM THURSDAY Hours 10.15 MO-WED. 9.15 THURSDAY · Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures to operate packaging equipment (Printers, Coders, Labelers, Vision systems, Tray assemblers, Heat tunnels, Dryers, Forklift, Storage units, etc.) · Assists during set up of Packaging equipment (Printers, Coders, Labelers, Vision systems, Tray assemblers, Heat tunnels, etc.) · Maintains all waste materials in the proper satellite storage bins. · Assists in completing all documentation required to request all products, materials, components, and general supplies required for the day-to-day operations of the packaging department. · Accurately performs reconciliations within the batch records of products, materials, and components used in packaging. · Effectively and efficiently assists in troubleshooting packaging equipment to package quality products per standard operating procedures. · Effectively provides/reports information on process deviations. · Trains others as assigned/needed. · Observes, challenges, advises, and supports teammates to adhere to policies and/or procedures. · Effectively communicates process and/or equipment needs. · Responsible for data entry which includes recording product packaging information, downtime, and standard production yields. · Maintains a safe, clean and organize work environment. · Maintains facilities and equipment as required by Standard Operating Procedures. · This position may require the handling, storing, and managing of hazardous waste and this employee shall comply with all applicable state and federal laws.
Skills: Preferred: • Twelve (12) months of manufacturing experience. • Equipment troubleshooting knowledge and skills. • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures. • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. • Ability to operate a reach truck forklift. • Basic aptitude for math and computer skills.
