The role
As a Packaging Technician, you will operate and maintain Vale's packaging equipment, ensuring that products are packaged to specification, on time, and at high quality.
- Set up, operate, and adjust packaging machinery to meet production specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of packaging equipment
- Conduct in-line quality inspections and remove non-conforming products
- Complete packaging records, shift logs, and quality documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized packaging area
- Communicate downtime, maintenance needs, or quality issues to the production supervisor
- Support changeovers between product SKUs efficiently
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 1+ year of experience operating packaging or manufacturing equipment
- Ability to follow detailed SOPs and technical instructions
- Mechanical aptitude with an interest in equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Compensation
$20 – $24 per hour
