Job Description


As a Packer, you will be responsible for carefully loading customer equipment and materials into crates using hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, or ramps. You will also be involved in crate assembly by unloading, preparing, and completing assemblies using tools such as hammers, nail guns, or drills. Additionally, you will engage in the detailed assembly of packaging components, ensuring quality checks and cost savings by accurately assembling kits and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities


+ Load customer equipment and materials into crates using hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, or ramps.

+ Unpack, prepare, and assemble crates using hammers, nail guns, or drills.

+ Assemble corrugated, foam, and plastic packaging components through folding, gluing, taping, and stitching.

+ Perform quality checks for accuracy and return unused materials to stock.

+ Report equipment defects or maintenance needs to ensure safe and efficient use.

+ Follow procedures and policies, understanding equipment before use.

+ Collaborate with team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment.


Essential Skills


+ 3-6 months of prior packaging and/or assembly experience.

+ Ability to operate pallet jacks and hand trucks.

+ Spatial awareness and attention to detail for packing and securing materials.

+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

+ Clear communication and understanding of written and verbal instructions.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Fluency in English for reading, writing, and communication.

+ Basic computer skills for logging in/out and potentially learning new software.

+ Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a steady pace in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to read a tape measure in ¼ and ⅛ increments.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

+ Bilingualism (English-Spanish) is an advantage.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
