Packer/ OperatorWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packer/Operator to join our clients team in Wadsworth, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Packer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products are packed correctly and meet customer expectations. Whether you're experienced or looking to start a new career chapter, this position offers a chance to grow and develop your skills.
Shift:- 2:00pm 10:00pm, Monday through Friday
Pay:Key Responsibilities:- Assist in start-up of the machine
- Unjam wrapper, ink and crimper wheels when jam occurs
- Clean ink wheels when needed and at the end of the night
- Replace roll of wrap when it runs low
- Step up 2 steps to hopper to pull straws out if the wrapper is down and product is above certain fill height to bulk into boxes
- Monitor the quality of packed products continuously
- Use hand and wrist motions to pack products into boxes or bags
- Report any quality concerns to team leaders or supervisors
- Complete production documentation accurately and neatly
- Prepare area for the next shift and communicate relevant details for handover
- Help clean scrap, label boxes, and place finished products on skids when line is do
Minimum Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday
- Ability to work independently and with flexibility
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Nice to Have Skills:- Prior packing experience in manufacturing preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Preferred Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years related experience (preferred)
