Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Production Packer to join a busy manufacturing team supporting daily production operations. This role is responsible for operating packaging equipment, inspecting materials, loading finished products, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, enjoys hands-on work, and is committed to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Packaging

  • Operate packaging equipment, palletizers, and related production machinery.

  • Assist with daily production operations and packaging activities.

  • Inspect packaging materials before production runs to verify inventory and product accuracy.

  • Return unused packaging materials to inventory after production runs.

  • Hand-stack 40-50 lb. bags during production or rework operations as needed.

  • Load finished products throughout the shift.

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when qualified.

  • Complete production documentation accurately.

Safety & Quality

  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

  • Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety programs.

  • Maintain high standards of product quality.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Assist with plant housekeeping and janitorial duties.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or production experience required.

  • Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment in an industrial environment.

  • Experience in a continuous manufacturing process is preferred.

  • Forklift certification is preferred.

  • Heavy equipment experience is a plus.

  • Basic computer skills; experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, or web-based systems is preferred.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Customer-focused with a positive, collaborative attitude.

  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Frequently lift and stack 40-50 pound bags.

  • Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.

  • Work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

  • Safely operate industrial equipment and forklifts.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with:

  • Dusty conditions.

  • Hot and dry temperatures.

  • Limited climate control.

  • Exposure to industrial equipment and production machinery.

  • Occasional outdoor work.

  • Exposure to varying temperatures, chemicals, noise, and manufacturing dust.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday

  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • 40 hours per week

  • Overtime, shift rotation, and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
