A local production company is looking to add Packers to work the Packing lines! Press Operators for production. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone looking to join a family and team-oriented environment.
In this production role, you will be completing various duties such as running a press machine, loading and unloading press machine, checking the quality of the product, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Support the production of safe, high-quality products and team member safety.
Must have a completed High School Diploma, HSE, or GED.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended amounts of time as well as maintain footing on concrete floors.
Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 30-50 lbs. on a regular basis
Must be able to follow verbal and written directions
Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times
Must be reliable, dependable and be able to work in a team environment
Some positions will require working in an extreme environment of -20 degrees.
Must know proper lifting and bending techniques.
Possess good basic math skills.
Responsible for following all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's).
The Press Operator is responsible for the overall efficient operation of the press, which includes, but is not limited to:
Monitoring the production process to assure quality product per customer specifications.
Complying with plant policies, safety, and E.P.A. regulations
Ensuring productivity goals are met for the department/machine by monitoring run speeds, set-up times, and coordination of support departments.
Achieving or exceeding waste goals per machine/department through inspections, good procedures, and accurate reporting
Cross-training will be done for ALL associates
Communicating orally and/or in writing via e-mail to other departments for the resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers, and daily shift information.
