Packing and Shipping Clerk
Job Location: Sonoma, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $22-$22.50/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8-4:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have warehouse and forklift experience? Our client in Sonoma is seeking a Warehouse Clerk / Packing & Shipping Clerk to provide coverage for a 3-month paternity leave assignment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety focused, and comfortable working in a dynamic warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify and maintain records for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Compare shipment information against bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders
- Pull, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment
- Inspect products for accuracy, quality, and defects
- Ensure product codes are shipping documentation match inventory
- Process outbound shipments and update records using designated software systems
- Receive incoming shipments and confirm accuracy of delivered items
- Perform daily cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Determine appropriate shipping methods and coordinate shipments
- Operate a forklift to move materials and transport shipments throughout the warehouse

Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift operating experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately manage shipping documentation and inventory records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
