Primary Responsibilities
Packaging Operations: Package materials produced on production lines and assist during line clean-outs and change-overs.
- Line Operations: Execute production start-ups, shutdowns, and change-overs per Production Management’s requests.
- Quality Control: Conduct in-process quality testing. Make necessary adjustments during your shift to ensure products meet specifications and reject products that fall outside.
- Leadership: Temporarily assume the responsibilities of the Lead Operator in the event of their absence.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with the Production Foreman and other Production Management personnel.
- Safety & Compliance: Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and strict safety and regulatory procedures, including Lock-out/Tag-out, Confined Space, and Wastewater protocols.
- Work Area: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to meet shift production goals.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Two to five years of manufacturing experience (chemical plant experience is strongly desired).
- Physical Requirements: Must have the manual dexterity to operate machinery and computers and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Skills: Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
