Job Objective:
Responsible for RIS/PACS and CPACS application architecture, strategic planning, project proposal and overall project execution, upgrades and regular maintenance of Pictorial Archiving Communication Systems and modalities. Serves as a content expert for imaging and cardiology workflows. Works with the RIS/PACS Manager to plan and implement new systems, optimize workflows and system configuration to improve clinical workflows and reduce the opportunities for errors or delays.
Job Description:
Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in IT or healthcare related field or an additional four (4) years of applicable experience in lieu of bachelor's degree Preferred: Master's degree in Information Systems or Healthcare related field Licensure/Certification: Required: One (1) relevant Clinical, IT and/or Clinical Application Certification (DICOM, Radiant, Cupid, AART, RN, RT); additional relevant (DICOM, Epic, Technical, PMP) certification within one (1) year of hire/promotion Preferred: Clinical (AART, RN, RT or related healthcare license/certification), DICOM (CDIP), Imaging Professional (CRA, CIIP, CPAS, CPSA, Epic), Technical (Security+, Network+, HL7), Project Management (Project+, PMP) Experience: Required: Ten (10) years of PACS Administrator experience or fourteen (14) years of PACS Administrator experience in lieu of bachelor's degree; including five (5) years of experience in leading application upgrades and PACS technical system administration (database administration, system administration) Preferred: Experience with a mix of imaging clinical operations, Imaging PACS application, project management

Ability to facilitate the skill development of team members, Ability to proactively facilitate issue resolution, manage improvement projects resolve issues at the root cause, Ability to review open items, plan and execute work without direction or supervision, Ability to set the model behavior for developing and maintaining positive interpersonal relations with peers, users and vendors and is an expert in conflict resolution, Excellent communication, oral and written skills; ability to prepare meeting agendas, summary notes, and communications to end users, Excellent customer service skills and adept at resolving PACS issues, Expert at efficiently and effectively identifying issues, documenting findings and workflows; works closely with leaders to identify and implement solutions, Expert at managing issue and service requests; ability to identify timelines, plan and engage operational leaders, Expert in common business applications, MS Office, Visio, RIS / PACS applications, IS ticket management systems and general workstation troubleshooting tools, Expert in effective time management skills , Expert in logical troubleshooting application and workstation solutions, logical analysis and has a demonstrated track record of performing root cause analysis and creating plans to resolve issues, Expert in radiology and cardiology software systems, integration, networking, server design, and operating systems, Expert in teaching/training radiology and cardiology staff to application workflows; ability to mentor team members in skill advancement
