UC Health is hiring a Full Time PACS Assistant Coordinator for the Radiology Department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Under the direction of the Divisional Director if Radiology or Imaging Services Manager, the PACS Assistant Coordinator, manages the flow of information within the Imaging Services Department pertinent to the Picture Archiving and Communications System and the Radiology Information System.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience, preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for image management which includes the following tasks:

  • Select appropriate studies for distribution, viewing, printing or burning.

  • Transmit images to appropriate clinical devices for attending physicians and radiologists.

  • Print images formatting, windowing and leveling as needed.

  • Filing imaging media, CDs, DVDs in computer storage area.

  • Burn CDs for referring physicians and patients.

  • Document scanning.

Responsible for equipment management for Imaging to include the following tasks.:

  • Learn basic operation of printing devices for PACS (load film, clear jams, load CDs, etc.

  • Cleaning workstation environments.

  • Fax machine supplies.

  • Has knowledge of all processing systems used in the Radiology Department; able to fill in at front desk in Radiology and able to make quick decisions when necessary.

  • Maintains environment of safety for patients, self, and others.

  • Maintain film library; purge old films when permitted.

  • Performs other job duties as assigned
