E-logic is seeking a qualified PACS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the Clinical Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) from U.S Navy. The PACS Administrator will ensure seamless diagnostic image availability, system integration, high uptime, and user support for clinical personnel across multiple facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of PACS hardware, software, servers, workstations, archives, and image routing devices. Perform regular backups, routine system checks, and disaster recovery preparedness.
  • Ensure accurate, efficient image flow from acquisition modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Dexa, Fluoroscopy) to storage, retrieval, and distribution.
  • Utilize DICOM and HL7 standards to integrate PACS with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Vendor Neutral Archives (VNA).
  • Oversee database health, monitor network bandwidth, ensure fast image load times, and maintain reliable image routing to tele-radiology vendors.
  • Diagnose and resolve PACS interface, hardware, and software issues. Provide prompt onsite and remote user support for radiologists, technicians, and medical staff.
  • Develop and update user guides, FAQs, and documentation. Conduct
  • training sessions for diverse clinical users on PACS functionalities and best practices.
  • Enforce strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines, maintaining audit
  • trails, data privacy, and security protocols.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external PACS and accessory vendors to track technical support requests and maintenance.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • AT Level II or CompTIA Security+ CE and ABII CIIP - Certified Imaging Informatics Professional are required.
  • Strong technical proficiency in DICOM and HL7 standards, database administration, and
  • networking concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating PACS with RIS, EHR, and VNA platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-modality image workflows and tele-radiology systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security standards.
  • Flexibility to provide 24/7 remote after-hours and on-call support.
