Job Summary:

The PACU Manager is a working leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the post-anesthesia care unit. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while managing staff performance, departmental processes, and resource utilization. The Manager also supports continuous improvement initiatives and fosters professional development within the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day PACU operations while maintaining clinical involvement
  • Plan, direct, and manage staffing assignments to ensure proper coverage and productivity
  • Review and approve staff performance evaluations and set employee goals
  • Maintain and update departmental policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
  • Monitor facility conditions and implement corrective actions for issues
  • Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives
  • Act as a change agent and support leadership decisions through role modeling
  • Manage departmental budgets and inventory control
  • Support staff development, education, and professional growth
  • Engage in ongoing continuing education and professional development
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
Schedule:
  • Full-time
  • Day shift
  • No weekends
